Today we woke up in playa del Carmen. And drive toward yukatan. Leaving Quintana roo. We stopped at an amazing little restaurant on a lake in the yukatan. Then spent the day at coba exploring the Mayan ruins. Coba is where they have the original "2012" Mayan calendar. Saw her with my own eyes. Then we made our way to a little colonial town in the middle of the Yucatan. Beautiful. Our hacienda is amazing. Big yard. Great pool. Great restaurant. Amazing day.

So as some know I'm back on tour next week. Here's the thing I'm always so pumped to book these tours and then I am always under prepared. They always sneak right up on me. Like "oh yeah tour in a week" and I'm broke. No clothes, And didn't even get all the merch I wanted. But that being Said I am pretty lucky to have been able to tour pretty much 250 days a year for 3 years now. I owe a lot of that to PAT MAINE, he was a huge part of being able to do what we've done. Well I guess it's time to apologize about the "Doug" release. Its not looking like its going to happen in time for the self help tour. I recorded the whole thing myself In my new studio and I'm just not getting the sound I want. And now it's Kind of too late to re record before the tour. Thanks to all the beat makers on the project and I promise it will be out as soon as I'm back from tour.

I just got back from a short tour with the dude edo g. Our last leg was in southern cali and it was fun as hell. Last Friday we played the airliner which turned out really dope. Then sat and Sunday we played long beach. I met Swiss for the first time. Also met up with the homie dizzy Dustin from ugly duckling. On Sunday we went to a park jam at the Park in lb. Shit was really ill.

THE GREAT ESCAPE TOUR UPSTATE NY

After the mt. pleasant show we swung through DETROIT and played a quick show and chilled and did an interview with the homie ROBO ROBB for his radio show/blog. Then immediately went to UPSTATE NY. Just a short drive from detroit we made our way to ROCHESTER to rock the stage with Gillateen GILLY, very dope MC and very good host. The show in rochester was at the dubland underground, thanks gilly for another great show. rochester was illy.

We were there one night then decided to check out the capitol of NY and headed over to ALBANY where we checked out the whole downtown area.. Be sure to go to the attached photo album and check it out , the place is amazing. We also got a chance to record a track with the homie GM out there in ALBANy, upstate was great, good shows, good people, good tracks, and dt albany was really really dope

AHHH.. mount pleasant. The first time we came here we probably had one of the most ridiculous shows ever, it was a last minute thing that we got off of indy on the move. And no people came. HOWEVER we did meet KIM at the coffee shop. She shall remain kim only so that none of you biting as rappers try to steel our kim from us. She has ended up being a true force, a person that has helped us out in many ways and has our back in this music biz like no body else. LOVE KIM..

Anyway kim got us a show at a hukah lounge this time around on the tour and it was a great show. Lots of really cool people came out and showed support and love and the music flowed with the wonderful sounds of MODERN GENTLEMEN and DUSK ONE along with myself and PAT MAINE. Picked up some new pat maine and pigpen shirts. Again thanks to Kim. BUT this time in Mt. WISCONSIN.. we love ya.. The great escape tour made our way to the dairy land, and i gotta tell you it was really dope in every way. We went to Milwaukee which was a really cool town. It was my first time in Milwaukee. A crazy cool hipster town, but the hipsters here a little different, im not sure how to classify them. The show in milwaukee was really cool it was in an old theatre. The venue was huge and there was a lot of great talent. GOOD TIMES.. peace to nick ramsey, peace to J SCRIBE, and thanks tochelsea for letting us stay at the crib..

Then the next day we got invited to play at this all day outdoor music festival called the dan jam. This event was really really dope. It lasted all day and had bands, singers, poets, hip hop, food, and other events. Really talented people and a really good time, once again thanks to Nick. I accidentally had so sick on my song line up and got about half way through before i realized i was in front of a bunch of families, ie. soccer moms and kids and shit lol. BUT it still went really well and i was able to actually censor it pretty good live..

THE GREAT ESCAPT TOUR crushes on, we landed in Omaha NE, which general yields very mixed results for shows. But let me tell you this was one of the best damn shows of the tour, Omaha can be funny a bit with its eclectic mix of hip hop kids, juggalos, horror core, and rockers that always seem to come out to our shows. however tonight was really really dope.. Oh there was still an eclectic mix as always of the same crew, but they are all really really cool here. The show was live, lots of local talent, crowd was way involved, two dope female mc's, and it did not in any way lack the usual interesting crowd, however this time the crowd was very into it.. THANKS OMAHA, thanks to SURREAL as always for holding us down, mic fantastic, pscych b, lunatic, KILO crackroxx, Trashman.. thank you all.. VERY VERY DOPE NIGHT,,

DALLAS.. what the fuck is going on with this heat down here, 100 + and its humid as hell. im sick of the damn heat. But regardless we had a really dope time here in D TOWN. We went out the first night here because we had the night off . We tried to go down to deep ellum however to our dismay its pretty much a ghost town, for the most part all of the restaurants, and bars are closed down. The few remaining tattoo shops seem like there on the virge of moving to a damn strip mall area.. SUCKS.. Then we cruised up to greenville area, still pretty dead. But managed to meet a group of really cool people at a bar there and it turned into a party..

The dallas show was really really dope. .place called the green elephant, Much love to POOR VIDA, dj croix, dj trek, held it down, as well as goat, jackrabit, art of fact, and everyone else that played.. thanks guys . We played 3 shows.. one with sapient the day we got in ,really dope.. then an all ages spot, with Solar one, adapted theory, and dahm and wake.. another good one. but the BURTS TIKI lounge show on wednesday takes the cake on the tour..Rocked out with Flo fader, and just us.. We have been on this tour for nearly a month and a half.. half of the us states. thousands of miles, and loving it.. from Tempe arizona with the dope crew in prescott, to Los Angeles and the airliner. Vegas video shoots with highdro. Sleeping on the beach in caramel beach cali. Kicking it in sactown at the spot with Aaris, Max and more. All the way up the coast, we see you portland, kable holding it down. Seattle, tomcat. Type, Kub, the let go.. The weather, Sam. The whole west coast half of the tour killed it. Hard to sum it all up in a few lines, I really should have been writing more..

MIDWEST.. Wow, what a new experience, Surreal always kills it in Omaha, Fashion shows in Kansas city. Dope new track with the homies Eyecon st. louis, and black lung and wild ill Dekalb. Matt Matt in dekalb.. We cruised to OshKosh WI for a set of shows. Yep oshkosh hip hop, thanks to the homie Derill Pounds it really exists. 1980 we got some big shit brewing, HOG LOVE SON. All the way out to detroit to sleep in the illest Venue/Loft/underground home. LISTENER has been steady in the cd player. BLACK CROWS.. well most of you wont get most of this. Im sorry if it just sounds like all shoutouts. but All very deserved. thank you to everyone for putting up with us while we do this CRAZY ASS SHIT we call hip hop..

WOW.. where to begin?

St. Louis show was great. Live bands from all genres. We showed up met some really cool people. played some short sets and then jammed out with a live band. It was after the show when things got really cool though. We met up with some local mc's and legendary blog king byron crawford to go have b-fast/late night meal at this real divey spot called the courtesy. You can now see a pig pen/pat maine sticker on the milk machine in the Courtesy cafe, South side ST. LOUIS. Thanks to the awesome waitress/server who was talkin about stabbing juggalos and smoking cigs when we first walked in pig and pat are forever remembered at the courtesy.

Traverse city mi. was an 11 hour drive from st. louis. spent most of it talking music with Kosha dillz, pat maine and dusk. only to get nearly to Traverse City and realize that the road was closed and end up taking a 2 hour detour that made us late to the show. We rolled up on the venue and it looked fully packed on the inside so we were stoked. Unfortunately when we were parking and packing our merch someone got hit in the face with a bottle. and the cops cleared out the whole bar. BUT we killed it for the remaining crowd and it turned into a dope night KOSHA DILLZ is a beast to say the least.

Well im out of here the cafe lady is bitching at Kosha dillz for being on his cell phone and we must bounch.. MUCH LOVE from the alive and well tour. mc pigpen

WOW.. what can I say. These shows come out of no where. Oklahoma city was live as hell. Thank you so much for the love everyone. We walked up in this southwest artsy neighborhood on a cofee shop with a venue attached to the side slightly confused. BUT, let me tell you this turned out to be one of the best damn nights of the tour if not ever. .Soo many people were there to just hear the music. We felt a tremendous amount of love and support. And the other performers were insanely dope. Dewey binns. 8 bit cynics put it on. and im sayin if this is how OK pops i will be returning many many times.. check the atmoshpere.. it was sick

So after meeting BK one and going to rhymesayers store in MINNEAP. we rocked a show down by the river at the NOMAD.. Shit was crazy they had a stage that folded down on top of the pool table and all.. AND like 500 different beers. Too bad I don't drink huh? haha.. Anyway we rocked with wide eyes, derril pounds, and the new true blue home daniel heavens. turned out to be an awesome night. YO YO YO.. been a few days since the last blog.. I played on thursday night at club calabash in portland.. much love to Kable roc. Onary Ousbourne from Rhymesayers rocked out whit us. It was a really good show with a really cool vibe.. Last night I played Bozeman montana. I got to tell you not only was it one of the best shows yet. but one of the best shows ive seen in a long time period. We rocked with pigeon john and josh martinez and it was insane. Seriously packed as packed can be and everyone there showed sooo much love. Thanks Brett. John. Josh and Chuck . the sound was amazing people amazing. The love was real. ZEBRA LOUNGE RULES

I just gotta say this tour has proved to me that hip hop is alive and well and because of the love that has been shown we are blessed to have been invited to another nationwide tour in may. one that will be even bigger than this one. Hence we are calling it THE ALIVE AND WELL TOUR.. dates will start to post tomorrow. Thanks soo much everyone. the love is truely truely there.

Last night we were in san francisco.. Sat night we Played In las Vegas.. And friday night we played in Los Angeles.. I wish i could write a blog for each. but time is catching us. LIVE FROM SAN CLEMENTE.. thats my last name too.. Its day 3 of the 4 oclock shadow tour. were kicking in a coffee shop on the beach right now. We played a show in Oceanside Cali last night. It was amzing.. much love to everyone that came I cant believe how well that show turned out. sooooo sick,, thanks samantha. tiana. and all of pat maines family and friends that rolled through the show.. Yze and pat maine killed it.. And i did a shorter family friendly set.. Today we woke up in Prescott arizona on some new homies couch.. Kevin. Teresa. Shari. And April.. thanks for the couch to surf.. we stayed up till 6 in the morning playing hack sack in Kevins Kitchen. and Pat Maine and Yze were taking shots of "apple pie" all night..
